Not all pirates, even those in the Middle East, wear bandanas and carry weapons.
Captain Neil Broomhall, who was last week taking the Saga Ruby on an Ancient Egypt voyage, had a run-in with a uniformed buccaneer at Sharm el Sheikh.
As he explains in his blog, he was advised by the local pilot that a warship was expected to dock and if he wanted to get the best berth, he should get into port early.
Schedules were changed, alarm clocks were set, and the Saga Ruby arrived at 2.30 am.
