Frights and diets take to the sea

Tormenting his audiences’ minds night after night, Derren Brown has been filling theatres up and down the country on his latest tour.
And in September the illusionist once described as the scariest man in Britain will be taking his show to sea, for two performances during a three-night mini-cruise aboard P&O’s Aurora.
The cruise, which leaves Southampton on September 23 and visits Zeebrugge and Le Havre, goes on sale at travel agents today with fares starting at £189 per person.
deanne1.jpgBrown is not the only TV celebrity taking a cruise. Almost as scary is fitness freak Mr Motivator. Next week he will be on board Ruby Princess, visiting the Greek islands and broadcasting live on GMTV each morning as he and Australian dancer Deanne Berry (right) – star of the Call On Me video – get passengers working out as part of their Bikini Diet.
Three women have also been selected by GMTV to join the ship for a week of healthy living. Dubbed the “Bikini Ladies,” they represent three typical body types – apple shaped, pear shaped and tofi (“thin on the outside, fat inside”).
They will be put through their paces in the ship’s gym, learn how to prepare recipes and follow a Mediterranean diet with the line’s Italian executive chef, and get active ashore on some of the ship’s organised shore excursions.
