Oprah’s £6.5 million cruise treat

/, Cruise Ships/Oprah’s £6.5 million cruise treat

oprah.jpgShe’s the queen of the chat show in America, and now she has shown herself to be the most generous boss in the world. Oprah Winfrey (left) is taking her staff, and their families, on a 10-day cruise of the Mediterranean.
All 1,700 are sailing from Barcelona to Rome, Messina, Santorini, Izmir and Istanbul in Turkey, Athens, and Valletta, Malta. on board the cruise ship Norwegian Gem (below).
Oprah’s giant 55th birthday party started with everyone staying for three days at the Poble Espanyol resort, a reconstruction of a Spanish village with shops, bars and restaurants.
The cost is estimated at £3,850 each – a total of £6.5 million, although I reckon Oprah herself will be in a more expensive Garden Villa suite at least.
It’s not the first time Oprah, who has earned billions of dollars from her talk show and magazine, has treated her staff to a free holiday. In 2005, they all went on an expenses-paid trip to Hawaii.

Well, Stedman isn’t on the ship, but best friend Gayle is….well my my, I heard that in the next few months that Obama is going to replace the Statue of Liberty, sending it to Harligen Texas on a barge and putting up a statue of Oprah in New York Harbor in it’s place. (Don’t worry Michelle, Barak Obama is taking down the Jefferson Memorial and putting a statute of Michelle in there with Grandma Robinson. Oh, how you have helped the poor with your volunteer program…(I know that the European press shouldn’t talk about your gowns, but now no one is poor in America because of Michelle. As for best friend Gayle, she will be on the dollar bill.
