Oasis definitely on the seas

/, Cruise News/Oasis definitely on the seas

Stranded in the US by the ash cloud flights ban, Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher definitely (well, maybe) knew he didn’t want to be here now.
But how to get himself, wife Nicole Appleton and children back to the UK?
He did what celebrities through the decades have done and – following in the footsteps of Rod Stewart, David Bowie, even Elizabeth Taylor and Bing Crosby – he took a Transatlantic voyage by cruise ship.
Liam and family booked their passage on the luxury six-star Silver Spirit from New York, and disembarked when the 540-passenger vessel made its maiden call in Southampton a few days ago.
And he must have enjoyed himself, because I have not had any reports of televisions being thrown rock-star style out of the window and into the ocean. Travel Weekly’s Lee Hayhurst says: “Reports from the ship suggest the celebrity family enjoyed their time on board and there was none of the more disruptive behaviour Gallagher became known for during the 1990s.”
It’s a shame, though, that the biggest cruise ship in the world is sailing only to the Caribbean and is not doing Transatlantic runs. If it was, Liam could have been sailing on Oasis of the Seas.
