Want to have lunch on board the luxurious liner Queen Mary 2 and raise funds for a good cause at the same time? Then check ebay for a handful of auctions organised by Cunard in aid of The Princes’ Trust.
Bidding for the QM2 lunch – for two people – currently stands at £250. There’s another lunch on board sister ship Queen Elizabeth for which the bids have reached £200.
Other items on offer include two tickets to see Shakespeare’s Richard III at London’s Old Vic theatre and a reception to meet the cast, yet to receive a bid at the opening price of £500.
Cunard books, pens and leather passport holders are on offer for around £20 to £30, and there are two real collectors’ items in the shape of Clarendon fine art framed prints of the ships, starting at £500.
You’ll have to be quick though. Bidding for most of the items closes on Saturday.

That sounds like the trip of the lifetime! I have a question for the cruise expert…If I travel on a british cruise liner, do I need a US to UK plug adapter? (I’m from the US).

Many UK-based ships have European round-pin 220v sockets and flat-pin 110v sockets, but some only have UK 3-pin sockets. Best to pack an adaptor just in case – you’ll need it if you’re staying in a hotel pre- or post-cruise.
