Get on board with the Osmonds

//Get on board with the Osmonds

Wayne_Jay_Jimmy_Osmond.jpgFans of the Osmonds won’t know where to turn next year: TWO cruise lines are offering chances to meet the ’70s superstars on THREE separate voyages. Trouble is, they won’t all be sailing together.
Fred Olsen know their customers, and realise that the teenybopper fans who bought records like Crazy Horses and Love Me For A Reason are now in their 50s and 60s. At least.
There will be a warm welcome on the 1,340-passenger Balmoral when brothers Wayne, Jay and Jimmy take to the stage.
They are performing during a 14-night cruise to the Western Mediterranean which leaves Southampton on May 12, and again on a three-night party cruise to Ostend and Le Havre from May 26. Shame they won’t be going to Merseyside for Jimmy to sing his biggest hit, Long-Haired Lover From Liverpool.
Meanwhile, their little sister Marie is teaming up with the biggest heart-throb of the family, Donny, for their first Cruise With Friends on board MSC Poesia. The four-night trip sets off from Fort Lauderdale, Florida on February 28.
As well as performing on stage, they will be helping out with karaoke, a sock hop dinner-dance, and an Osmonds trivia quiz.
Fares for the Balmoral 14-night cruise start at £1,549, and you could be aboard the three-nighter for £379. Details at www.fredolsencruises.com.
Passengers wanting to share the ocean with Donny and Marie must book through their website, donnyandmariecruise.com. Cruise-only fares start at $799.
How long before X-Factor reject Sami Brookes – voted off the show last week after being criticised by Gary Barlow for sounding like a cruise ship performer – is singing at sea herself?
