Grab yourself a collector’s calendar

//Grab yourself a collector’s calendar

pandocal.jpgMy item about P&O’s 2012 calendars excited a bit of interest, not least from Cruise Critic, who pounced on the mention of the male strippers (below) who were threatening to have Adonia’s name changed to Adonis, and promptly got hold of a copy to give away in a competition. I hope they coughed up a £10 donation to Help For Heroes.
A number of you asked where they could buy a copy of the heritage calendar depicting 175 years of treasured P&O memories, and I’m afraid I have to report that although copies have been sent to members of the line’s Peninsular loyalty club and other past passengers, it will not be put on general sale.
That’s the bad news, but the good news is that I have a copy which I can give away. To be in with a chance of getting your hands on this collector’s item, send an email to greybeardcaptain@gmail.com, listing the names of all the P&O ships which will be together in Southampton for their Grand Event on July 3.
You have until midnight on Sunday January 8 to get your entry in. Don’t forget to include your full name and postal address. Good luck!

    Congratulations to Graeme Walker, from Kent, who wins a copy of the calendar by correctly answering that Adonia, Arcadia, Aurora, Azura, Oceana, Oriana and Ventura are the ships taking part in P&O’s Grand Event.

    John,
    Many thanks for the calendar and for the thoroughly good read that your blog provides on the cruise industry.
    Graeme.
