Simon Cowell’s favourite dog, Pudsey, arrived home today with his owner Ashleigh Butler, after a trip to America and a Transatlantic crossing on the Cunard liner Queen Mary 2. Winner of Britain’s Got Talent, Pudsey made an appearance on the US version of the show, and will soon be in rehearsals for the Royal Variety performance.
During the seven-night crossing Pudsey and Ashleigh wowed the ship’s 2,600 passengers with two special performances of their Charleston dance routine from the Britain’s Got Talent semi-finals. Ever the entertainer, Pudsey couldn’t resist performing for the crowd on the quayside in Southampton after disembarkation.
Ashleigh said: “We’ve really enjoyed our time on board Queen Mary 2 – I’ve been on a cruise ship before but Queen Mary 2 is so much grander. The food and service onboard have been great, and we’ve had such a warm welcome – and there was a special dog-walking deck where Pudsey could get his share of sea air! I could tell Pudsey really enjoyed performing on board – he just loves the limelight!”
