The seas have been alive with the sound of music in the past few days. The Moody Blues headlined a five-day cruise from Miami, and rockers Styx (above) opened Carnival’s season of LIVE! concerts.
The Moody Blues were joined on board MSC Divina by The Who’s Roger Daltrey, the Zombies, Little River Band, and ELP drummer Carl Palmer
Styx had passengers rocking in the aisles on consecutive nights aboard Carnival Fantasy and Carnival Fascination in Nassau.
Guitarist Tommy Shaw said “We had a great time and it looked like our fans loved it too. Can’t wait to do it again in the fall in Nassau and then in Catalina Island and Cozumel.”
Throughout the summer, artists including Chicago, Foreigner, Kansas, Jennifer Hudson, LeAnn Rimes and Olivia Newton-John will be performing Carnival Live concerts, with tickets costing $20-$40.
They aren’t the only ones taking to the seas. A Rock Legends cruise on Royal Caribbean’s Liberty of the Seas next February will feature the Doobie Brothers, Alice Cooper, Paul Rodgers, Uriah Heep, Ten Years After and many more.
