German cruise line TUI showed a distinct lack of imagination when they took over the Celebrity Galaxy and re-named it Mein Schiff, which is German for, er, My Ship.
They have got their act together now though, and put together an interesting money-back offer. Any bride who gets pregnant on her honeymoon cruise will qualify for the deal.
With a completely straight face, the company’s spokesman says they will require medical evidence to establish that conception took place on board before paying out.
I can’t, somehow, see passengers booking a honeymoon cruise on the off-chance they’ll come back expecting a refund. And it’s not the sort of deal that’s likely to send tremors through the marketing department at Saga Cruises.
